Modestina (Modie) has a BFA in Musical Theatre from Central Michigan University and a BS in Early Childhood Education from Rochester College. She is a mother, wife, author, and educator. She has used her musical talents to perform professionally as well as teach voice, theater, preschool and music. She is extremely passionate about teaching little learners and creating a strong foundation in literacy through music. She currently resides in the Great Lakes state of Michigan where she teaches early childhood music classes and homeschools her spaghetti loving bookworm daughters.

Uncle John Comes Over For Dinner was inspired by and for her students. She dedicates Uncle John Comes Over For Dinner to her daughters, her husband, her mother, her brothers and the Call family. A special thanks to Zack, Marcus, Igor, Rich, Jessica and Davey (my editor).
